Our Studio Manifesto
I've been building and selling things since college — starting with a porta potty company I co-founded and sold before graduation. From there: teaching middle school and high school, a Master's in organizational communication, adjunct work in interpersonal and public speaking, and eventually a decade-long run in product development — launching crowdfunded products I sold internationally and managed entirely remotely.
That path is what Design 6 runs on. The organizational communication background shapes how I think about what software actually needs to do inside a real business. The product development years taught me how to ship things that work, not just things that demo well. I'm not a consultant who learned to code — I'm a builder who got obsessive about solving the right operational problems for the right people.
Outside the work: married since 21, three sons, and one year running everything remotely while traveling the US with the family — which mostly confirmed that good systems matter more than office hours.
